Scientific Videos about Glial Cells
Short 8 second video showing how glial cell signal by diffusion to each other, not through nerve pathways.
Short video 10 second video showing a nerve firing (like lightning bolt) followed by glial cells (the astrocytes) responding and sending signals on to other cells using diffusion. Notice how the nerve impulse stays in the nerve, and how the glial signals spread out to communicate with other cells like a wave.

The rubric for listening goes beyond right and wrong, to include what each student understands, what they confuse, and what is misunderstood in addition taking into consideration the number of words they use in attempting to explain what they know.
