And for those parents
who want to help their preschoolers
they will need for school:
Beginning Letter-Sounds M , R, S, B
Made for pre-readers, starting around 4 to 5 years old,
who are beginning to recognize the first sounds in words.
M, R, S and B are four of the easiest speech sounds for pre-readers to hear the difference between. These four sounds are also made differently with the lips and tongue. If your pre-reader has difficulty hearing the difference between the sounds, if you show them how to touch their lips with their fingers, they will be able to feel the difference in the way their lips move with each sound.
The children's book names and shows pictures of familiar objects. The pictures are grouped by their beginning letter- sounds of M, R, S and B.
The companion book relies on a more mature reader to help the pre-reader recognize and identify M, R, S, and B objects in pictures of everyday life.
Extending this activity to find M, R, S, and B words in your own everyday life situations helps children learn more about words and the letters that make the sounds. It is a pre-reading boost and once you know how to do it, it's fun and easy to do!
